The Honda Pilot was released at the 2008 North American International Auto Show as the Pilot Prototype. Not much has changed from that time. The futuristic headlights discarded, and fitted with more affordable headlamps. The fog lamp housing was changed to a kind of boxy type. The rearlights have been adjusted with cheaper versions. The 2009 Honda Pilot can seat 8 people spread on 3 rows of seating. The Pilot, as with any other Honda models pursued the vehicle’s safety as its main priority. It had hoped to offer a high level of protection for its riders and passengers. Honda Pilot employs side curtain airbags and dual chamber, front-side airbags and OPDS or Occupant Position Detection System and an active front seat head restraints. This reduces greatly, sever neck injury from collissions in the rear side.
